Hold Analog Down repeatedly press A (five to seven times), then release Analog Down for a fast Sonic Speed Dash.
Press Option at the Sega logo to display all unlocked levels.
Enable the "Level select" code and start a game from the level selection screen. Press B during game play to turn Sonic into Tails and vice versa. Note: Tails cannot fly as in the other games in the series.
Enable the "Level select" code and choose the "Debug" option. Highlight "Muteki" and switch it to "Yes". During gamplay, Sonic (or Tails) cannot be harmed by enemies, spikes, or Bosses. Note: Sonic can still be smashed.
Enable the "Level select" code and choose the "Debug" option. Highlight "All Clear" and switch it to "Yes". During game play Sonic (or Tails) will have all the Chaos Emeralds, except for the seventh Emerald located at Last Utopia zone.
Complete the game after collecting all chaos emeralds to unlock a sound test on the game options screen.
There are seven chaos emeralds in the game. To get the seventh emerald, get the first six then go the level 13, "Last Utopia". Hit Robotnik so that just one more hit is needed to defeat him, and the chaos emerald will fall from the back of his ship. You need to get the emerald first, then hit him. If done correctly, the bonus "Chaotic Space" level will begin in which you will transform into Super Sonic and have to defeat Dr. Robotnik once and for all.
When Robotnik shoots missiles at you, get in its path and press A. The missile will bounce off and return towards Robotnik.
Defeat Dr.Robotnik in the "Chaotic Space" level to unlock "A little movie clip" ending. Additionally, you will also see Sonic jump out of his plan differently, after the credits have completed.
When you complete a puzzle it turns into a color picture.
Collect all the puzzle pieces and complete the six pictures in the Puzzle Room to unlock the "Special Stage" selection at the options screen.
Press Forward, Forward + A + B.
Pause game play in the "Chaotic Space" level. Super Sonic will be in front of the pause sign instead of in back as in the rest of the game.
